on another note…my eyes.  it seems that i dropped in power.  i’m now seeing 20/20 out of glasses that used to be 20/40.  in terms of power…i used to be -3.50.  i’m now -2.50.  i’ve been a pretty noncompliant patient and not doing the exercises as much as i should and so my progress has been slower than necessary, but still progress.  what a fun experiment!

it’s raining here in LA and sunny on the east coast.  go figure.  more of london sympathy pains i guess.

are any of you into astrology?  i am!  in the last few years, it’s given me a loose roadmap to my very emotionally chaotic life.  i always get a reading in the beginning of the year and in june around my birthday.  my biannual update of the life map.

well right now "mercury is in retrograde."  mercury is in retrograde 3 times a year.  basically it’s a 3 week period when mercury moves backwards in its rotational path.

and since august 2004, something funny happens to me during mercury’s retrograde period.  i have gotten some sort of contact from the same particular person.  though i can’t say we are friends, i am strangely drawn to him.  we’ve only met once briefly almost 2 years ago.  and he lives on the other side of the world  and EVERY time mercury is in retrograde, somehow our lives bump into each other – either directly or indirectly. 

mercury went retrograde march 2 and guess what, it has happened again!  this time we have had direct contact.  completely floored, i looked up mercury in retrograde and reunions on google.  apparently, when mercury is in retrograde, old acquaintances are reunited.  many times, these people are said to have had a strong bond in a past life and are being reconnected in this lifetime.  it’s such a funny phenomenon.  and i’m wildly intrigued to know more about it. 

so i’m inviting all of you to notice in the next few weeks if you’re contacted by an old acquaintance or friend that you haven’t heard from in a long time.  or if you meet someone you’re completely drawn to and feel like they are an old friend, thought you just met them.  perhaps they are an old friend…from another lifetime.  wouldn’t that be incredible to think that you’ve met again?!?  enjoy enjoy this playful aspect of mercury’s retrograde.
